Johnson Service Corps Executive Director

Johnson Service Corps seeks an executive director to lead the next phase of growth for a well-established non-profit organization that provides leadership opportunities for young adults and service to the community through a network of partner organizations engaged in human services and social justice advocacy.

Johnson Service Corps, based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2000 serving the Triangle Region of North Carolina. Our mission is to develop young-adult servant leaders through participation in a year of social justice engagement, intentional community living, servant leadership training and spiritual formation. Johnson Service Corps is affiliated with the Episcopal Service Corps and operates as an ecumenical organization.

The next Executive Director will assist the Board of Directors in implementing a new Strategic Plan, to increase visibility and fund-raising to support recent growth in the program.  The Executive Director has responsibility for general administration, fundraising, communications, financial management, community networking, Board relations, staff management and program supervision.

The successful applicant will have a proven record of leadership and management – including administration, staff supervision, strategic planning and budgeting. This will include a record of successful fundraising with experience in foundation, corporate and individual giving.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree or above in related fields preferred.

Compensation: Salary range $50,000-$60,000, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include health insurance stipend, 401K contribution, personal leave. Position is full time, 32 to 40 hours.
