According to a recent study, nearly five out of ten farmworker households in NC cannot afford enough food for their families.
Become part of SAF's recruiting network!
Student Action with Farmworkers relies on alumni, campus contacts, CAMP programs, and other allies nationwide to assist in recruiting students for our internship and fellowship programs. With recruitment efforts from our diverse networks, over 700 students have taken part in our internship and fellowship program(s). SAF seeks bilingual (Spanish/English) college students or recent graduates, and preferences students from farmworker families or from the Southeast.
We strive to select students with a diversity of experiences- those with little work or volunteer experience to super-activists! Extra skills are helpful such as ability to speak an indigenous language of Mexico or Central America, theater or documentary experience. The application process is pretty competitive; we receive about 100 applications for approximately 25 intern and fellow positions.

“ITF interns allow us to do much more outreach than would be otherwise possible. They help us to communicate with clients during our busiest season. They perform invaluable case management work for us.”
