Applicant Services Liaisons

The North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) is excited to announce that we are seeking qualified candidates to fill (6) Applicant Services Liaison positons.

The North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR), Division of the Department of Public Safety (DPS) is a new Office, responsible for executing multi-year recovery and resiliency projects related to damage sustained in Hurricanes Matthew and Florence.

NCORR will soon be responsible for $947 million in Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and CDBG-Mitigation grants for Hurricanes Matthew and Florence recovery. To meet the unprecedented challenge of recovering from multiple federally declared disasters, the State has established NCORR as the agency responsible for management of all CDBG-DR awards going forward.

The Office will be actively engaged in projects in the following areas:  Single-Family Homeowner Rehabilitation/Repair; Housing Repair Reimbursement; Single Family Homeowner Reconstruction; Homeowner Buyout; Mobile Home Repair; Mobile Home Replacement; Homeowner Assistance; Infrastructure, and Affordable Housing Development.

Most projects will be funded by the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). The headquarters will be in Durham County, however these positions will be located in disaster-affected counties.  Staff will be directly engaged in helping North Carolinians recover from Hurricanes Matthew and Florence, building stronger communities, and making our state more resilient for future disasters. These positions will play a vital role in NCORR's recovery program.
