Apply for Into the Fields!

Spend your summer meeting and supporting the people who plant, harvest and produce the food we eat every day! SAF trains 25 bilingual students on farmworker issues, and places them to work full-time with legal aid, health clinics, migrant education, and community and labor groups reaching thousands of farmworkers each agricultural season. Interns and fellows will also participate either in a documentary or theater project to better understand the interests and stories of workers.

"I was able to have one-on-one conversations with farmworkers and learn about who they are and where they come from, their families and their goals. My experience has been more than positive; it’s been an inspiring journey that I will never forget and will never stop fighting for.”
– Rigo Santiago, 2018 SAF intern
