Education Associate, SC Migrant Education Program

Job Responsibilities: The person in this position will provide ongoing support to Title I, Part C subgrantees and district and school administrators for the collection, analysis and reporting of migratory student data, identification and recruitment of migratory children, and technical assistance for the operation of the State migrant student database. Coordinate with other Federal program offices, agency divisions, and database vendors in order to streamline the flow of migratory student data through various databases and comply with Title I, Part C Federal program reporting requirements. Perform data entry, analysis, reporting, maintenance, and work list functions within the Title I, Part C State migrant student database and Federal Migrant Student Information Exchange (MSIX) databases. Develop and lead statewide, regional, and/or local training opportunities and resources in order to increase subgrantee, district and school capacity for identifying and reporting migratory students.  Collaborate with Title III, McKinney-Vento Homeless and other relevant State and Federal programs to ensure cross-identification and reporting of migratory students at the State Education Agency (SEA), Local Education Agency (LEA) and  Local Operating Agencies (LOA) levels. Perform statistical analysis to drive the development and implementation of Title I, Part C comprehensive needs assessments, service delivery plans, and continuous program improvement cycles.
Minimum and Additional Requirements: A bachelor's degree and experience in education, management or business.
Preferred Qualifications: A master's degree and five (5) years of related statistical analysis experience. Experience with data mining/business intelligence tools (SAS, SAP Cognos (SAS strongly preferred)), knowledge of SQL queries and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services (SSRS). Experience conducting research and producing reports. Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
