A Message on COVID-19 + Digital Toolkit for NFAW

Bullhorn with text saying: Farmworkers Feed the World

As we continue to learn more about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how the outbreak is affecting our campuses and our communities, we want to provide support and solidarity to students and partners as you prepare for National Farmworker Awareness Week.

While the week of action itself, March 25-31, is not being postponed, we are encouraging groups to consider canceling in-person events or making accommodations to keep yourselves and your communities safe and healthy. The sustainability of the farmworker movement relies on the health and well-being of all of us to stay in this work for the long haul.

We have created this digital toolkit to assist those of you who need to adapt your efforts to raise awareness of farmworkers through social media and virtual presentations:

+ Like the National Farmworker Awareness Week Facebook page!

+ Post our banner or poster image as your cover photo on social media for the week. Download them from our Materials and Resources page.

+ Follow us on Instagram @farmworkerawareness as our partners each take a day of the week to highlight the work of their organization through our "Pasa la Papa" Instagram takeover.

+ Share our daily messages and actions on social media each day during the week of action.

+ Use our new digital toolkit with templates to create Instagram stories, links to farmworker factsheets, and a place to add your own digital resources.

+ Add hashtag #NFAW2020 and @farmworkerawareness in your posts
