The Director will lead the North Carolina Local News Lab Fund, setting and advancing a statewide vision to strengthen and sustain local news and information ecosystems across North Carolina. This senior leader is responsible for strategy, partnerships, fundraising, and overall operations, working closely with funders, community organizations, and an advisory board to expand equitable access to trusted local news. The role combines external leadership—building relationships, galvanizing philanthropic support, and representing the Fund publicly—with internal management, including guiding staff, overseeing grantmaking, and ensuring the organization’s long-term impact and sustainability.
