The Lead Farmworker Health Outreach Specialist acts under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Farmworker Health Outreach Manager.
The position will have a focus on services at the NC Growers Association (NCGA) in Vass for arriving H-2A workers, including assisting with vaccination events, welcoming workers, providing referral information and case management when sick workers are housed at the NCGA.
This position is responsible for the management and completion of basic health assessments, referrals and follow ups to migrant, H2A, seasonal, and retired farmworkers. Additionally, planning and conducting outreach activities, case management, and health education are core expectations of this position.
This position requires working independently, with minimal supervision, as an extension of the Farmworker Health Program at the Moncure Health Clinic site. The Lead Outreach Specialist will mentor, train, and provide onsite supervision of interns, students, and/or temporary Outreach Workers as necessary.
The position requires flexible hours (evenings and some weekends), a valid NC driver's license, car insurance, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
