Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Farmworker Unit is hiring for the following bilingual positions:
- 3 Bilingual Attorneys: a Farmworker Attorney, an Anti-Human Trafficking Attorney, and a Low Wage Workers’ Rights Attorney. We will also consider applications from qualified 3L’s graduating this spring.
These positions are based in Raleigh, nicknamed the “City of Oaks” for its large number of majestic oak trees lining our streets. Raleigh is a sports lover’s dream with ACC basketball, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the North Carolina Football Club (but like futbol) and downtown has a budding culinary and arts scene with multiple concert venues, restaurants and food halls, parks, farmers markets, and many festivals. In North Carolina, we enjoy a moderate climate with all four seasons – you can dine al fresco for most of the year! Mountains (including trails, waterfalls, river rafting, and ski resorts) and an entire coastline of beautiful beaches are just a few short hours’ drive away connected by the impressive Mountains-to-Sea Trail. Raleigh is part of the larger Triangle area with Chapel Hill and Durham close by. Folks are smart! According to Forbes, the Triangle has two of the most educated cities in the country. Raleigh ranked #2 and Durham ranked #3. Raleigh has a small town feel with big city amenities.
