On Friday 3/28, the Farmworker Advocacy Club (FAC) will host its first gallery, Rostros del Campo: A Farmworkers' Perspective in the Ellipse Gallery from 10am-2pm.
In this gallery, we will have the opportunity to appreciate portraits of farmworkers from the Central Valley and other areas of the state. Students will also play a short video of typical farm labor in California, interviews with farmworkers and current Fresno State faculty/staff who worked in agriculture. An opening reception will start at 10am with FAC President Eddie Herrera and Fresno State President, Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval.
A program will take place at 12pm with FAC VP Esmeralda Palafox, UFW President Teresa Romero, and community activist Flor Martinez. Guests are more than welcome to come and go, stay, and/or walk around during the entirety of the gallery time.
RSVP is encouraged.
