I am from una mente positiva and good energy siempre
I am from mi mami who comes from the busy streets of la ciudad de México and mi papi who comes
from el bello San Felipe, Guanajuato
I am from padres who are panaderos
Yo soy del corazón de él Betanias Bakery. I am from tres leches y conchas.
I am from los consejos de, ”Echale ganas en todo” y “Sea diferente tan todos”
I am from the beautiful base of the mountains of North Carolina
I am first generation determined to knock down borders and flourish seeds within souls.
I am from la strong raíz de trabajadores
I am from la lucha de cada día

I believe that mi gente within the Latinx community are some of the most hardworking, loving, and strong people that demand to be heard. I am the daughter of two immigrants that came to this country with nothing but their faith of searching for opportunities and a better way of life. They break their backs every day to provide for my family. I am first-generation and I feel that it is my duty to pave and provide a pathway for future Latinx generations to come. I am here to be una voz for my community. It is long overdue that Latinx farmworkers get the rights and privileges they deserve.

I am thrilled to work alongside other inspiring individuals and intern partners, where we will work together to create change within our new communities.
