ITF keeping it reel this summer

June 28, 2023 By

Check out the reels below to see a small glimpse of this ITF '23 cohort on outreach doing theater and documentary.

Into the Fields interns participating in SAF's Grupo de Teatro Hacia los Campos, performed a skit at a farmworker camp in Sanford, NC.

This year's theater skit, Dichos del Campo, (Saying from the Fields) features valuable information regarding prevention and protection against the coronavirus, extreme heat, pesticides, and green-tobacco sickness.

Farmworkers in Benson, NC, and Sanford, NC were visited by SAF's theater group this season.

ITF interns participating in documentary conducted an interactive activity for this year's project, De Donde Vengo (Where I am from).

This years project centers around learning more about the farmworker's community. Students and farmworkers discussed about what they identify as home and what their culture is.

Farmworkers from South Carolina, Western and Eastern North Carolina participated in this project.

A special thank you to our sponsors for helping coordinate and host SAF's theater and documentary groups this season.
