Here’s why your help is needed today:
- The COVID pandemic and the economic recession are disproportionately affecting farmworkers and their families
- Farmworkers have been deemed essential but at the same time they are having to work with limited access to PPE, healthcare, sick leave, fair pay, and other worker protections
- Jobs in the fields and in meat processing plants are putting workers at higher risk for COVID, including young people who are having to work longer hours
You can fund advocacy for increased protections and better conditions for workers in the fields and food processing plants. You can provide mentorship, stipends and scholarships for young people from farmworker families. And you can support SAF's work building the farmworker movement.
