SAF’s inaugural Cosecha fellows met for a virtual orientation on January 20-21 to explore current farmworker issues and equity in the workplace, practice using documentary as a tool for social change, reflect on Paulo Freire’s "Pedagogy of the Oppressed,” and create an individual learning plan to sustain their work in the farmworker movement. Through training, mentorship, and professional development, the fellows will learn about nonprofit management in a social justice context.
Congratulations to Cosecha fellows Kristen Alfaro, Lucy Thames, Rachel Wright Junio, Selena Ibarra, & Yazmin Garcia Rico!
